If you’re around the North Coast this May, this one’s worth sticking in the diary.
Castlerock Fun Day is back on Saturday 16th May 2026, taking over the promenade for a full day of family-friendly stuff, good food, and a bit of everything in between. It’s all in support of St. Aidan’s and Hezlett Primary Schools too, so you’re doing a good turn just by showing up.
The day kicks off early with a Big Breakfast in Christ Church Hall from 8.30am, which is a solid way to start things before heading down to the main action. From 11am to 3.30pm, the promenade will be filled with vintage and classic cars, motorcycles, and plenty to look at if you’re into anything with an engine.
There’s a proper mix of entertainment as well. You’ve got the joint school choirs performing alongside Richie Remo, so expect a bit of atmosphere rather than just people milling about. Over at Guysmere, things get even busier with a car boot sale from 9am, bouncy castles for the kids, and a Trialstar motorcycle display kicking off from 10.30am.
It’s not just about watching either. There’ll be workshops running for primary school children, giving them something hands-on to get stuck into while everything else is going on around them.
If you’re thinking of bringing a vehicle along for the car boot sale, just note that you’ll need to register in advance. It’s all organised through Nutt Promotions, so worth getting that sorted early.
All in, it’s one of those easy, no-pressure days out. Turn up, grab some food, wander about, keep the kids entertained, and maybe even find something decent at the car boot while you’re at it.
If you’re nearby, you’d be mad to miss it.
