Let Nutt Travel book your fishing package in Leitrim, Cavan, Longford & Roscommon including lakes and the Mighty River Shannon.

We offer fishing on the following;

Lough Allen, Drumshanbo, Co Leitrim: this is the most northern of the large Shannon loughs and covers over 300 kms, lying between the Slieve Anierin Mountains to the east & the Arigina Mountains to the west. There is lots of bank fishing which is plentiful. The Lough hold a massive head of course fish: bream, hybrids, roach, perch and pike.

angler2.jpgGaradice Lough, Ballinamore, Co. Leitrim: located to the east of Ballinamore and covering over 950 acres, Garadice Lough offers a superb range of fishing locations to suit all weather conditions. Most of the fishing is from the bank with average depths from 12 to 16 feet. It is also used as a match venue where the World Pairs are fished, attracting large crowds. The Lough holds a large amount of fish of all species including large pike.

River Shannon, Carrick on Shannon, Co. Roscommon: this is a very popular venue with some good catches of fish coming to the anglers in particular significant bags of bream, roach and hybrids. The fishing is from stages erected by the fishery's board and can hold in access of 30 anglers. Swim depths range from 8 to 24 feet and is an ideal pole or feeder water.

Lough Scur, Keshcarrigan, Co. Leitrim: covering around 280 acres and located 10km north of Carrick-on-Shannon. Scur has the Ballyconnell & Ballinamore Canal at its western and eastern ends and forms part of the Shannon-Erne waterways. Some of the most famous places are The Rocks & Pumphouse which are visited regularly by the visting angler including holding the World Pairs fishing competition, Scur holds a good head of roach, hybrids and bream including perch and large amounts of pike.

Castlefore Lough, Keshcarrigan, Co. Leitrim: this is situated 3 miles from the lovely village of Keshcarrigan and holds some brilliant fish of all species especially bream which can go over 6lb. Fishing is from excellent platforms, the depths vary greatly from 8 to 37 feet, access by boat is limited but there are local angling guides who can help, which can be booked through Nutt Travel.

angler1.jpgRowan Lough (trout fishery), Fenagh near Mohill, Co. Leitrim: this fantastic lough is a managed trout fishery with significant numbers of both rainbows & brown trout present and holds some enormous pike to over 30lb. This is a premier game water and is controlled by the Rinn & Shannon District Angling Club. Membership is a yearly subscription but day tickets can be purchased from local tackle shops.

Kilglass Lough, Co. Roscommon: this is situated between Rooskey & Strokestown and is a large expanse of water almost 5km from one end to the other and over a kilometre at it's widest point. Most of the shoreline is heavily overgrown with reeds but there are some access points. Therefore a boat is a must and launching facilities are good but far and few between. There is an amazing head of fish to be caught with tench in abundance.

Lough Rinn, Mohill, Co.Leitrim: this is situated just on the outskirts of Mohill town and can be a prolific course fishery as its claimed to hold more fish per acre than any other loughs in the area. Unfortunately there is very little bank fishing however by boat the lake is your oyster. Pre baiting is the key and you could be guaranteed a good days fishing, the main species would be roach, bream, tench with pike in abundance.

Please note that no course fishing rod licence is required in Southern Ireland.
